UAE Refuses to Host IPL 2025 Remainder Due to Prior Commitment with PCB and PSL 10

UAE has formally turned down the task of hosting the remaining matches of IPL 2025, which is a major blow to Indian cricket organizers, as the UAE had a prior commitment with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). As reported, Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) had informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that venues for Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi are already booked for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 playoffs/ final.

The surprise rejection from the UAE has left uncertainty about the fate of IPL 2025 season and has compelled Indian cricket authorities to explore other options.

Why the UAE Declined to Host IPL Matches

The absence of UAE hosting for IPL 2025 is a result of scheduling clash that the Emirates Cricket Board had anticipated when it was not even half the year. The PCB had already been making reservations for its PSL matches in the same period.
